Unleashing Operational Process Mining

چکیده
This report documents the program and the outcomes of Dagstuhl Seminar 13481 “Unleashing Operational Process Mining”. Process mining is a young research discipline connecting computational intelligence and data mining on the one hand and process modeling and analysis on the other hand. The goal of process mining is to discover, monitor, diagnose and improve real processes by extracting knowledge from event logs readily available in today’s information systems. Process mining bridges the gap between data mining and business process modeling and analysis. The seminar that took place November 2013 was the first in its kind. About 50 process mining experts joined forces to discuss the main process mining challenges and present cutting edge results. This report aims to describe the presentations, discussions, and findings. Seminar 25.–29. November, 2013 – www.dagstuhl.de/13481 1998 ACM Subject Classification H.2.8 Database Applications (Data mining), H.2.1 Logical Design (Data models), K.6 Management of Computing and Information Systems

Data visualization of European regional operational programmes: unleashing the informative potential of open data for performance assessment
The implementation of the European Cohesion Policy aiming at fostering regions competitiveness, economic growth and creation of new jobs is documented over the period 2014-2020 in the publicly available Open Data Portal for the European Structural and Investment funds. On the base of this source, this paper aims at describing the process of data mining and visualization for information producti...
متن کاملInvestigating the Relationship between Various Brittleness Indexes with Specific Ampere Draw in Rock Sawing Process
This study aimed to develop new statistical models for evaluating the specific ampere draw (SI) based on rock brittleness index in rock sawing process. A variety of rocks, including carbonate and granite, were cut by a fully instrumented laboratory-sawing rig with two different types of circular diamond saws. Laboratory tests were performed at different depths of cut and feed rates. Multiple cu...
متن کاملQueue Mining: Service Perspectives in Process Mining
Modern business processes are supported by information systems that record processrelated events in event logs. Process mining is a maturing research field that aims at discovering useful information about the business process from these event logs [1]. Process mining can be viewed as the link that connects process analysis fields (e.g. business process management and operations research) to da...
متن کاملORE extraction and blending optimization model in poly- metallic open PIT mines by chance constrained one-sided goal programming
Determination a sequence of extracting ore is one of the most important problems in mine annual production scheduling. Production scheduling affects mining performance especially in a poly-metallic open pit mine with considering the imposed operational and physical constraints mandated by high levels of reliability in relation to the obtained actual results. One of the important operational con...
متن کاملBeyond Process Mining: From the Past to Present and Future
Traditionally, process mining has been used to extract models from event logs and to check or extend existing models. This has shown to be useful for improving processes and their IT support. Process mining based on historic information hidden in event logs often provides surprising insights for managers, system developers, auditors, and end users. However, thus far, process mining is mainly us...
